Welcoming back Kindergarten and Grade 1 at Michael Strembitsky School

Edmonton Public Schools is excited to announce that Kindergarten and Grade 1 will be offered at Michael Strembitsky School for the 2021-22 school year. 

In 2016, Edmonton Public Schools redesignated Kindergarten and Grade 1 to help create space at the school. Kindergarten and Grade 1 students living in the Michael Strembitsky School attendance area were redesignated to Satoo School until Grade 2. 

After carefully monitoring enrolment for the past five years, growth at the school has stabilized and there is now enough space at Michael Strembitsky School to begin offering Kindergarten and Grade 1 again. 

Yellow bus service will not be available, as all students in the attendance area live in the walk boundary.

STAYING AT SATOO SCHOOL

Students from the Summerside area who are attending Satoo School for Kindergarten and Grade 1 can stay at the school. However, yellow bus service will not be available, as Satoo School will no longer be their designated school.

REGISTRATION AND PRE-ENROLMENT

New students to Edmonton Public Schools will be able to register from February 2 to April 15, 2021. Current Edmonton Public Schools students can pre-enrol between March 8 and April 15, 2021.
