Information for Jasper evacuees

Our classroom doors are open to families displaced from Jasper. Here’s what you need to know to get your child enrolled and ready for school.

First day of school

For most schools, the first day of classes is August 29.

How to register

Whether you’re ready to start the process right away or you need a little more time, we can support you in getting your child enrolled and ready for the school year.

Before August 29

If you have questions or want to register your child before the school year starts, please call us at 780-429-8030. We can help you:

• find a school for your child
• understand the registration process
• address your questions and concerns

After August 29

After the school year starts, follow these steps:

Step 1: Use our Find a School Tool to find a school close to where you currently live.

Step 2: Contact the school directly to start the registration process.

Step 3: Complete registration.

After registration

Once your child is registered, we will send you everything you need to know about starting the school year, including:

• busing information
• school hours
• the school calendar
• information about school supplies
