Attendance area redesignations for 2018-19

As families begin to think about registering or pre-enrolling their children for the next school year, the District will be redesignating several neighbourhoods for the upcoming the 2018-19 school year.
In the fall, we invited the community to several drop-in information sessions and one public meeting to discuss the proposed redesignations. We collected feedback from people who attended the meetings and through online feedback forms.
REDESIGNATION DECISIONS
For the 2018-19 school year, families living in:
- Edgemont North will be redesignated to Winterburn, Michael Phair and Jasper Place schools
- Edgemont Southeast will be redesignated to Michael A. Kostek, S. Bruce Smith and Jasper Place schools
- Edgemont Southwest will be redesignated to Thorncliffe, Parkview and Ross Sheppard schools
- Ebbers will be redesignated to Kirkness School for Kindergarten to Grade 6
- Glenridding Heights will be redesignated to Lillian Osborne School for Grades 10-12
- Riverview will be redesignated to Ormsby School for Kindergarten to Grade 6
