Starting June 21, families can choose in-person or online learning for the first half of the 2021-22 school year.
The first half of the school year will run from September to the end of January 2022.
Sign in to your parent SchoolZone account between 8 a.m. on June 21 and 4 p.m. on August 12:
Families new to Edmonton Public Schools, such as Kindergarten families, will receive an email on June 21. The email will include a unique link families can use to submit their choice.
SchoolZone will be temporarily unavailable between August 7-9 for annual upgrades. This will affect both new families and current Division families.
You can change your selection anytime before 4 p.m. on August 12. Current Division families can sign in to SchoolZone to update their choice, and families new to Edmonton Public Schools will use the unique link in their email.
If you want to switch to online learning, your child will not be placed in an online class. This means:
If you want to switch to in-person learning, talk to your child’s school to find out if there is space in a specific grade or program.
Students taking online learning may not hear from their teacher until the first day of classes.
If a full return to in-person learning is not possible due to the pandemic, families will be asked to choose in-person or online learning for the rest of the school year.
As we get ready for another school year, we’ll share more information about our plan to safely welcome students and staff back to school. Watch for updates on our website, SchoolZone, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
