As the pandemic continues, we’re offering families a choice in how their child learns. Starting December 6, families can choose in-person or online learning for the second half of the 2021–22 school year. The second half of the school year is from February 1 to June 28, 2022.
UPDATE: More information about the return to learning on January 10 is now available.
Sign in to your parent SchoolZone account between 8 a.m. on December 6 and 4 p.m. on January 11:
If you don’t have access to your SchoolZone account or if your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, contact the school to let them know your preferred option.
Current Division families can sign in to SchoolZone anytime before 4 p.m. on January 11 to change their selection.
After January 11, 2022, students cannot move from in-person to online learning. This deadline ensures schools have enough teaching staff assigned to both online and in-person classes.
If you want to switch to in-person learning, talk to your child’s school to find out if there is space in a specific grade or program.
Students taking online learning may not hear from their teacher until the first day of classes, which is on February 1.
For 2022-23, the goal is for a full return to in-person learning. Learn about:
