News item: Back to School 2019-20

A new school year is officially underway at Edmonton Public Schools and we hope everyone is excited to be back in the classroom. If you’re new to the District or need a refresher on where to find some important information, you’ve come to the right place.

SchoolZone

SchoolZone is a secure website that holds important information about your child’s learning. Sign in to SchoolZone to find out more about homework, attendance records, progress reports and school events. This year, we’re asking all parents to verify their email addresses so we can stay connected. Sign in and select your name to access the account settings in your SchoolZone profile, then choose Edit Email Address. On mobile, you can navigate to your account settings through the menu on the top right side of your screen. Thanks for helping us stay connected!

SchoolMessenger

SchoolMessenger is an urgent message system that can call and text you when there is an emergency, like a fire or evacuation, at your child’s school.  Learn more about SchoolMessenger and how to sign up.

Transportation

Existing riders can find their bus route information on SchoolZone. If you’re new to the District, or your child is starting Kindergarten and using the bus for the first time, your bus route information is mailed to you. Learn more about transportation services for students.

Slow down

We want to remind motorists to slow down as students head back to classes. Drivers are required to slow to 30 km/h in all in playground zones from 7:30 a.m.–9 p.m. every day.
