In homes across the city, students took centre stage to deliver a rousing performance in celebration of the 57th Night of Music. The surroundings are a far cry from the Jubilee Auditorium, but our students, teachers and staff rose to the challenge. Their commitment to continue this annual tradition of showcasing music embodies the spirit of unity and togetherness, even when apart.
This year’s theme, United Through Music, was developed based on the finale song, One Million Voices, by Canadian composer Brian Tate. This song was performed by our Division II choir, junior high honour band, senior high choir and handbell ensembles.
Students and teachers worked together to create individual recordings that were woven together into beautiful group performances.
