Her career included working for the Attorney General of Alberta. In November 2000, friends and family established a trust fund in her memory that provides an annual scholarship to encourage a student graduating from Edmonton Public Schools to pursue a post-secondary education.
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize a student at Edmonton Public Schools who is completing high school in the current year, has attended Garneau School in Edmonton for at least two years and achieved a final blended mark of 50% or higher in English 30-2 or English 30-1, and will attend a post-secondary institution of their choice.
