News item: Pre-Kindergarten program 2019-20

The Pre-Kindergarten Program is for 3 and 4 year olds who could benefit from extra support before starting Kindergarten. The program builds children's strengths and skills in a playful, language-rich environment.

To be placed in Pre-Kindergarten, a child must:

  • first attend a screening
    OR
  • have an assessment from a healthcare provider

ATTEND A SCREENING SESSION

Screening sessions are open to all families with a child who is not in the process of being formally assessed or diagnosed by a healthcare professional.

During screening sessions, a Speech Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist will use toys, books and fun activities to help us figure out if your child is eligible for Pre-Kindergarten.

*The Tevie Miller Heritage School Program is for children with a primary diagnosis of severe language and/or speech delays. The screening and placement process for this school is different from others that offer Pre-Kindergarten. Contact the school directly for more information.
