Ward: C Term: 2021-2025

Marcia (she/her) believes that when we create school communities where kids feel valued and supported, we give them the ability to dream and succeed. 

For almost two decades, she has been engaged in rewarding work as a long-time volunteer on school councils and partner organizations in the community. She was also an instructor for the Alberta School Councils’ Association, where she saw immense value in fostering collaborative relationships between families, educators, Trustees and school divisions.

Community engagement is at the core of Marcia’s goals as a Trustee. She believes the best work begins by building relationships rooted in respect. She hopes to bring diverse and underrepresented voices into important discussions about decisions that will affect all students and families.

Marcia is honoured to have the trust of constituents in Ward C, where she lives with her family.  She is excited to listen and learn, and to advocate for the needs of students, families, staff and the community.
