Board urges province to extend campaign finance reform measure to municipal elections
The Board is lending its support to a plan to ban corporate and union donations to provincial election candidates, and is hoping those reforms will be extended to those running for mayor, city councillor and trustee positions.

Board to hold by-election for vacant seat
Trustees voted in favour of holding a by-election this fall to fill the seat left vacant by Sarah Hoffman, who was elected as an MLA in the recent provincial election. Voters in Ward G will tentatively head to the polls on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
